VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Thank you for inquiring about volunteer opportunities. You can volunteer in a myriad of ways:

  • Golf Classic:  Monday, May 20, held at 1757 Club in Ashburn.  We are in the beginning stages and will have more details as things progress closer to that time frame.  Volunteers are always needed for this event. with hours running 8am-5pm (Monday). You are invited to stay for the after hours dinner that follows.

  • School supply distribution: This is our big boy.  We work with schools, February to May, to gather the information needed to place our school supply orders.  These orders (approximately 250,000 School items) are delivered on pallets, in boxes. Our job is to sort through these supplies and pull the orders for each participating school.  This is a two week process. It is physical work but so much fun.  It is typically 8am-5pm, weekdays. 

  • Casino Night: We anticipate this event to be the first week of October, but it is still in works. Will have more detail in the upcoming monthes. This is an after hours events held on a Thursday or Friday night.

  • Giftwrap: Runs 7-10 days, everyday, weekends included.  We always need help during this event as well. Hours are 11am-7pm and we typically split the shifts in half (wrapping is hard work). :)

  • Horse/Carriage and Train Rides in Reston Town Center: Our job is to assist people entering/exiting the carriage/train and taking photos with their phones/cameras. We participate in these events, sponsored by Myers Public Relations, during Thanksgiving, the first week of December, and Valentines timeframe. These events fall after-hours or weekends. Upcoming are the Horse Carriages, Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13 (3pm-7pm).

  • We can always use administrative help!!!! Administrative work is flexible to your schedule, with the exception of Volunteer Coordinator which is flexible but is needed at event day for volunteer check-ins and assignments.
